Our Group was established in 2011 with the objective of transferring the sales, engineering and contracting services of a Danish-owned company specialising in the manufacturing of ultra-high performance (“UHPC”) materials to our Group.
The Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Marine Engineering Services Pte. Ltd., changes its name to NauticAWT Engineering Pte. Ltd. with effect from 24 January 2017. This division is active mainly in facilities engineering disciplines such as structural, process, mechanical and piping, electrical and instrumentation engineering.
NauticAWT signs an agreement for its first production enhancement opportunity as part of the Capital Energy Projects Division, in Western Georgia. This asset is the ideal candidate for production enhancement, with petrophysical evaluation establishing additional hydrocarbon bearing zones in existing producing and shut-in wells.
The group enters into a sales and purchase agreement of a factory, laboratory and testing facility in Johor, Malaysia where they are producing their unique range of UHPC and HPC materials for subsurface, subsea and surface applications in the oil and gas and renewable energy industries marketed under its NaX™ Trademark.
Incorporation of project management vehicle in Malaysia to undertake the provision of related services, equipment and machineries in relation to the Malaysian Opportunities.
NauticAWT launches its Oil Well Cement Laboratory in Singapore fully equipped for testing oil well cementitious materials according to API standards. The laboratory is part of a SPRING Research and Development Program with the purpose of carrying out research and development of OWC slurries primarily for use in the Plug & Abandonment environment.
NauticAWT’s ultra high performance cementitious (UHPC) NaX™ products are certified and approved for use in onshore wind turbine foundations by Vestas Wind Systems A/S (Vestas).
Incorporation of a Subsidiary in Africa. The principal activity of the Subsidiary is that of an engineering company providing subsurface and well engineering services in Tanzania, Africa.
Shareholders Agreement Entered To Undertake Decommissioning and Abandonment Projects In Malaysia.
NauticAWT receives grant support to develop new generation oil well cementing materials in Singapore as part of the SPRING Research and Development Program in Singapore.
NauticAWT acquired the entire issued and paid-up capital of Marine Engineering Services Pte. Ltd. (“MESPL”). MESPL is a private limited company incorporated in Singapore and principally engaged in the business of providing facilities and project engineering services for the marine and offshore oil and gas industries. MESPL has been collaborating with the Company to provide topside and facilities engineering services on a jacket requalification project located in the Khafji Joint Operations area of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Our Company acquired a majority stake in AWT. The Acquisition expanded our service portfolio to include the technical disciplines of geoscience, drilling and completion, well testing, well services and intervention as well as production enhancement, thereby increasing the scope of our offerings from the reservoir to the refinery across the lifespan of oil and gas assets. Founded in 1995, AWT has worked with some of the major petroleum companies around the world. With technical expertise that covers well construction, completions, well testing and subsurface engineering, AWT initially focused on providing full-field solutions before expanding to include niche technical expertise. In 2010, AWT merged with MBA Petroleum Consultants to bring together two of Australia’s most widely respected petroleum consulting companies and to allow AWT to provide engineering excellence and extensive geological knowledge to create a one-stop-shop for petroleum, exploration, appraisal and development.
Nautic Malaysia was established to carry out R&D and manufacturing activities for our NaX™ pre-mix products. The production facility, which also contains a research laboratory, is located in Nusajaya, Johor. Prior to 2015, the manufacturing of our UHPC materials was partly outsourced to Aalborg Portland and partly carried out by us manually.
Nautic India was incorporated to strengthen our local profile in the Indian oil and gas upstream market.
Nautic Brunei successfully won the tender and was awarded a five (5) years contract with the option to extend for another two (2) years.
In addition, we were awarded the engineering work for the requalification of a jacket located in the Khafji joint operational area of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. We engaged Marine Engineering Services Pte Ltd (“MESPL”), a Singapore engineering firm, to conduct a non-linear push-over strength analysis. Our collaboration with MESPL on this project led to a strategic alliance and expanded our services offered within our Subsea and Surface Facilities business segment to include pipeline and facilities engineering and design services.
we commenced the marketing of our Subsea and Surface Facilities services to the Mexican market. Heerema Marine Contractors, a Dutch marine contractor who was the main contractor with Pemex and involved in the installation of offshore jackets and topsides, awarded us our first contract in the Gulf of Mexico on 1 October 2013. This joint industry research project is coordinated by the Centre for Offshore Research and Engineering of the National University of Singapore and the participants include Petronas, Lloyd’s Register, McDermott International, ClassNK and American Bureau of Shipping.
We established the quality management system (“QMS”), which conforms to the management standards: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. DNV GL is the certifying agency for the QMS.

In June 2012, we marked our independence from third party suppliers by procuring our first offshore installation spread for subsea installation of our own NaX™ pre-mix products.
The company was awarded our first major contract worth A$9.4 million with John Holland Pty Ltd for the supply of UHPC materials used in the installation of mooring dolphin topsides for a Rio Tinto iron ore jetty in Western Australia. The UHPC materials, which at that time formed an integral part of all the services offered by us, were initially procured from third parties including the Danish firm and BASF A/S.
