Project Completion Phase 1: Strengthening and Repair of Marine Piles

NauticAWT has completed Phase 1 of the Ramba Jetty & Dolphin Strengthening Project in South Sumatera, Indonesia. The Ramba Jetty is utilized for handling oil and condensates, which are transported to Storage Tanker Corridor at Selat Bangka.

NauticAWT worked together with main-con PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Indonesia to provide strengthening of corroded piles at berthing dolphin 1 (BD1), berthing dolphin 2 (BD2) and mooring dolphin 5 (MD5) of Ramba Jetty, in order to extend the service life of the structures. Water depth varied between 7m to 10m.

NauticAWT performed the Inspection, Engineering Analysis and Detail Clamp and Mould design for the pile strengthening work, which included infill grouting method and clamp installation with annulus grouting method on the 21 marine piles, which were in need of repairs. A key feature of this project was to externally grout the piles down to -2m into the riverbed using specially designed moulds, which were deployed and retrieved without divers.

The fabrication of clamps and mould were done by a steel fabricator in Jakarta, Indonesia with supervision by NauticAWT and the grouting services were carried out using NaX™ Q140 Ultra High Performance Cementitious (UHPC) materials.
