AWT International assists exploration companies with applications for permits and has been involved with, or has carried out the entire application process for all of the four most recent gazettals in Queensland.
Our clients have been successful in 19 out of 23 applications in 2006, 2007 and 2008 (2009 not contested). These include exploration for CSG and conventional oil and gas, or a combination of both.
AWT International is familiar with the workings of data rooms, having attended many and having also constructed these for clients. As an example AWT International conducted the full sale process for Santos in relation to its 5% share of the offshore Yolla Gas Field in the Bass Basin. A similar undertaking was carried out for Tri-Star Petroleum in respect of its CSG assets.
We have been involved with analysis of the Queensland gas market through large studies. The company has a drafting department that is crucial to providing spatially correct maps. Often data from different sources is displayed in different projections. For our CSG and coal work we have found this to be a very important aspect for both exploration and for checking the precision of maps and data presented to us.
